A monolith is hard to trust and impossible to hand off. So ARCS is being atomized into small, composable public goods, each doing one thing. This is the newest cohort, grown out of the audit work, and every card states exactly how far it actually is. Most are still seeds. One runs in production. None are installable yet, and this page will not pretend otherwise.
Maturity is stated, not implied: wired = fires as a repo gate today, at commit-time · proven = built and tested, not yet its own package · seed = a prototype or a named concept, honest about which. When one graduates to installable it moves to the tools index. This is the works-in-progress side of that ledger.
A deterministic, stdlib-only gate that blocks any signal field from silently going constant. It freezes the known degeneracy as a baseline and fails only on a new regression, so it fires on backsliding without going permanently red on what is already broken. It caught a field that read as evidence across forty-five records and had been one value the whole time.
A read-only scanner that flags malicious install-time and open-time payload triggers in an untrusted repo before you ever open or install it. It abstracts the seven pattern-threat-vectors from a real campaign, was proven on a matched evil and benign fixture pair, and by construction never installs, runs, evals, or reaches the network.
The general form of the ratchet: given any tagged corpus, flag signals that are present but contentless, the inlier class that per-row null checks never see. A prototype runs inside the audit harness today; extracting it into a standalone data-quality primitive is the open work.
Double-entry bookkeeping for knowing: receipts as assets, deceipts as liabilities, a discovered-false claim moved rather than deleted, with a ruin overlay that renders the liabilities as hazards on the map. Named this week; no prototype yet.
The librarian with agency: at the moment of a decision, surface the nearest existing canon before you re-derive it or collide with it. The archive holds the books today but cannot recommend them. An associative index across the whole corpus is the target.
We are weighing an ARCS connector for Claude, Cursor, and other agents: ask about anything in the field notes and get an answer that cites its source, not a guess. It does not exist yet. This is a live demand probe, so if you would use it, say so and we will build it.
